Ion Accelerator Control system insight for LabVIEW Core 1 and 2 participants
Blog - Other

DVel got the great opportunity to present an industry project to PhD students taking the LabVIEW Core 1 and Core 2 courses. It’s great that we have the Danfysik Ion Accelerator project that we actually can talk a lot about. Most project we do have a lot of business secrets, not allowing us to share any details.

The LabVIEW Core 1 course was held by NI at LTH, Lund Institute Of Technology, on December 11th and the week after the LabVIEW Core 2 course was held at DTU, The Technical University of Denmark, on December 16th. I held a short presentation on each course. The purpose was to shown how the concepts that are taught in the course is used in a real and big application. Since many students were the same in both courses different parts of the Ion Accelerator application was shown.

Putting together the presentation I realized that the project is perfect for showing so many basic LabVIEW concepts and different ways to communicate with hardware. The project also has a lot of advanced concepts, so maybe I will present if later on in another forum for more advanced LabVIEW programmers. Let us know if you think that is a good idea and are interested to hear more about this fun project.
